On March 22,1997 my father passed away. He was 59 years old, and loved everyone unconditionally. Richard Barcomb was a man whom we could have all learned something. He was a man who would help anyone. He would give you the shirt off of his back.
I love my father very much, and I will never forget the man that helped me to understand the world. I can still remember all the talks we had--I even remember his laugh. I think about him every day, and he helps me to decide what to do in many situations. I have 'movie clips' that play in my mind when I see something that reminds me of him. He was the greatest man I will ever know, and I still cry when I think of him.
The Bloomington Police department purchased a plaque in honor of my father to be placed on the Bloomington Clock tower. When that plaque is placed, I will put the photo on this page.
For those of you whom made it to the reunion, I thank you! The family genealogy, and the reunion was something my father loved. Through the family tree he will live on in all the work he completed to be sure we had as much data as possible. My brother John, sister Michelle, and myself will continue to work on the family tree. It will not be at the pace my father worked this family tree. But it will help us to remember him, and the things that he stood for:
Family, love, and respect.
